Setting up a privacy rights request workflow

Businesses need a controlled way to receive, verify, assign and answer requests.

Intake without overcollection

Use a clear contact channel and avoid collecting more information than necessary. Never expose request details through public dashboards.

Verify proportionately

Confirm that the requester is entitled to the relevant records before disclosure, without unnecessary collection of identity documents.

Track the legal clock

Record receipt, applicable jurisdiction, any permissible extension, responsible owner and response evidence. Do not assume all laws share the same deadline.

Close with evidence

Record searches, decisions, exemptions, communication and safe disposal of working copies.
